Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief sums up results of 2022: 40% of territories liberated since February
Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that during 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed more than 100,000 Russian invaders, freed 40% of the territories occupied during the full-scale invasion, and destroyed almost 42,000 Russian explosive devices.

Details: As the first point, Zaluzhnyi emphasised that the Armed Forces liberated 40% of the territories occupied during the full-scale invasion and 28% of all territories occupied by Russia since 2014.
The second is that Ukrainian defenders killed more than 100,000 invaders, tens of thousands of units of Russian military equipment and almost 1,900 Russian air targets.
According to Zaluzhnyi, the training of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is currently taking place in 17 European countries. In general, thanks to the partner states, it was possible to train more than 20,000 soldiers.
In 2022, more than 600,000 people were evacuated from the areas of hostilities and more than 2 million tons of humanitarian goods were brought in.
Ukraine received weapons, ammunition and material resources from partner states. More than 1,000 wounded soldiers were sent abroad for treatment and rehabilitation.
Bomb disposal experts searched thousands of kilometres for the presence of mines and shells and destroyed almost 42,000 explosive objects.
Almost 29,000 servicepeople received state awards, in particular, 160 of them received the "Hero of Ukraine" title.
"Every day, the Armed Forces fight not only for Ukraine, but also for Europe, which is close to us in spirit, for the preservation of peace, security and freedom in the whole world. And we will definitely win," concluded Zaluzhnyi.
