Russian Defence Ministry confirms occupiers were killed in Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast, but announces lower number of casualties
The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation has confirmed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a group of Russian servicemen in the temporarily occupied city of Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast, but says the number of losses is much lower than that reported by the Strategic Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (StratCom).

Quote from Russia’s Defence Ministry: "The Kyiv regime struck the temporary deployment point of a division of the Russian Armed Forces near the settlement of Makiivka with six rockets from the US-made HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system."
Details: According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, two rockets were allegedly shot down by an anti-aircraft defence system.
The remaining rockets hit the Russians' temporary deployment point, killing 63 occupiers.
