Military exercise of Russian and Belarusian troops prolonged once again

Russia and Belarus have extended training of the regional joint force of the so-called Union State [Russia and Belarus] until at least 8 January.

Details: The outlet referred to a schedule of exercises on training grounds in Belarus.

It is noted that 31 December and 1 January were days off for some training grounds. In addition, some training grounds, where the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are concentrated, did not have any days off, specifically firing ranges in Asipovichy and Domanovo settlements.

 

The extension of training at the Belarusian training grounds looks as follows: 

  • Barysaŭ 227th Combined Arms training ground (Barysaŭ district) – until 7 January;
  • Hozha training ground of the 6th Air Assault Brigade (Hrodna district) – until 6 January;
  • Brest training ground of the 38th Air Assault Brigade (Brest district) – until 6 January;
  • Asipovichy training ground of the 51st Artillery Brigade (Asipovichy district) – until 8 January;
  • Niman 212nd aircraft training ground (Novogrudok district) – until 6 January;
  • Obuz-Lesnovsky 230th Combined Arms Training Ground  (Baranavichy district) – until 7 January;
  • Domanovo 174th training ground of the Air Force and air defence forces (Ivatsevichy district) – until 8 January;
  • Lyepyel training ground of the 19th Separate Mechanised Brigade (Lyepyel district) – until 8 January.

The monitoring outlet reported that the total extension of joint combat drills has amounted to 36 weeks (from 29 April).
