TOP LEADERSHIP OF UKRAINIAN MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS AND CHILDREN KILLED IN BROVARY HELICOPTER CRASH

A helicopter crash in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, has killed the top leadership of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs: Denys Monastyrskyi, Minister of Internal Affairs, Yevhen Yenin, First Deputy Interior Minister, and Yurii Lubkovych, State Secretary of the Interior Ministry are among those killed. A total of 18 fatalities, including 3 children, have been reported.

Quote from Klymenko: "On the morning of 18 January, a helicopter belonging to the State Emergency Service crashed in Brovary. Members of the top leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been killed in the crash: the Minister of Internal Affairs, the First Deputy Minister and the State Secretary.

A total of 17 people are currently known to have died, including 2 children. Nine of those killed were on board the helicopter."

 

Details: Twenty-two people have been hospitalised, including 10 children.

Updated: Later, Kuleba added that the death toll in the crash has risen.

As of 10:30, a total of 18 people have been reported killed, including 3 children.

 

"We are aware of 29 people injured, including 15 children. The victims are being provided with all necessary assistance," summarised the head of Kyiv OMA.
