Explosions rock Belgorod in Russia, authorities say air defence systems in operation

Explosions rocked Russian Belgorod city on the night of 16-17 January. The governor of the oblast has stated that the air defence systems have been deployed.

Quote: "Our air defence system was activated over Belgorod and the Belgorod district. Emergency services are establishing the aftermath on the ground. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or damage."

Background: Mikhail Razvozhayev, the so-called governor of Sevastopol (Crimea), announced the shooting down of a drone over the city on 16 January.
