Missile fragments fall on Moldovan territory third time after Russian attack
After another Russian missile attack on Ukraine on 14 January, Moldovan border police officers found rocket wreckage in the Brichansky district on the border with Ukraine.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova reported it on 14 January, writes European Pravda.
"After the massive bombing of Ukraine by Russia, a border police patrol found the remains of a rocket fired as a result of Russian air strikes on Ukraine in the area of the Larga border sector this afternoon," the report says.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also published a photo of the rocket fragment.
Due to the incident, the number of police patrols in the border zone with Ukraine was increased, and immediate measures were taken to protect the area and the rescue service was notified.
"This is the third case of rocket wreckage falling on the territory of Moldova due to the attack on Ukraine. As in previous cases, all necessary actions are carried out by the procedure by the competent institutions," the Interior Ministry added.
The previous incident with falling rocket wreckage occurred on 5 December; before that, on the morning of 31 October, fragments of a rocket fell on the Moldovan territory.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that the fall of missiles on the territory of Moldova after Russia's missile strike on Ukraine once again proves that Russian missile terror poses huge threats not only to the security of Ukraine but also to the security of neighbouring countries.
