USA to help Ukraine in energy infrastructure restoration and development
Herman Halushchenko, Minister of Energy of Ukraine, held an online meeting with his American counterpart, Jennifer Grenholm, regarding the restoration of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

According to Herman Halushchenko, Ukraine strives to rebuild its energy system based on the principles of decentralisation, resistance to military challenges, as well as the development of green energy and its nuclear component as a key generation.
The ministers have also discussed the introduction of small modular reactor technologies into the Ukrainian energy system.
"Our vision is the gradual replacement of thermal generation capacities, which have been the most affected by Russian attacks, with modern carbon-free technologies. That is why Ukraine is interested in close cooperation with the USA on the introduction of small modular reactor technologies," the minister said.
The initiative of the US administration NetZero World is one of the tools for achieving these goals, the parties noted. Ukraine has joined it at the UN Climate Change Conference COP26.
