Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence does not rule out that the Russian leadership will announce the next wave of mobilisation in the coming days. About 500,000 more Russians will join the Russian Armed Forces, which will allow the terrorist country to create strategic reserves.

According to intelligence estimates, the scale of enlistment activities conducted by the aggressor country indicates the plans of its leadership to create an army of about 2 million people."

Details: Ukrainian Defence Intelligence notes that Russia is actively preparing for the announcement of the next wave of mobilisation.

In particular, the laws of the Russian Federation regulating conscription are being amended at legislative level.

The active preparation of training centres is ongoing as well.

Serhii Popko, Head of Kyiv City Military Administration, has said that the political leadership of Ukraine is not ruling out an attempt of another offensive wave by the Russians.

For instance, 150,000 previously conscripted Russians are training at training grounds.

In addition, joint tactical training flights for the Belarusian and Russian military are to start on 16 January in Belarus.

Popko has stated that these military exercises should not be perceived as a direct threat of another offensive against Kyiv or concentrated missile attacks on the capital.
