Details: It is known that the child lived with her grandparents because her mother is working abroad, and her father died.
"The child's arms and feet started to go numb in the evening, but she didn't tell anyone. Unfortunately, there is no legal mechanism to forcibly take children out of the city," noted Vitalii Barabash.
Vladyslav Makhovskyi, a volunteer who is involved in evacuating people from the contact line areas, told UP Zhyttia in a comment that he repeatedly offered the family to leave [the city]. Since June, the family has been living in the basement.
"They didn't want to evacuate because Eli's grandparents have elderly parents in the old part of Avdiivka," the volunteer said.
According to Vitalii Barabash, 2,500 residents, including children, remain in the city.
"For the last 2 weeks, not a single person has left; no one even calls and asks for evacuation," Vitaliy Barabash added.
