Quote: "You can replace the commanders of the joint forces all you want but you will have to bear it all until the end anyway. Because "like it or not, bear it you ought."
Note: On 7 February 2022, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, made fun of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s statement that he does not like any point of the Minsk agreements.
"Whether you like it or not, bear it you ought. It’s your duty, my beauty. There is no other way."
On 8 February, Zelenskyy responded to Putin: "Ukraine is indeed a beauty but definitely not "his" (Putin’s – ed.)". He also stated that patience is wisdom.
Background:
- On 11 January, Sergei Surovikin was dismissed from the position of commander of the joint group of forces in Ukraine and replaced with Valerii Gerasimov, the Chief of the General Staff of Russia. Surovikin is now his deputy head.
