Alar Karis remarked that 2023 must become the year of Ukraine's victory, and Estonia will do anything within its power to contribute to it.
Quote: "I am joining his [Zelenskyy’s – ed.] call upon the partners of Ukraine to provide it with military aid necessary to defeat the aggressor. It is important for the safety of the whole Europe."
Zelenskyy reported that he and Karis discussed the situation on the front, Ukraine's defence sector needs and further steps towards the Euroatlantic integration of Ukraine.
Background: On 10 January, Zelenskyy also had phone calls with the President of the Council of the European Union, PM of Belgium and PM of Ireland. One of the key issues on their agenda was the Ukrainian peace formula suggested by Zelenskyy at the G20 Summit.
