The medic also appealed to the international community for help to get people out of Azovstal. One of his appeals was published in Turkish.

"People are dying in our arms from the simple lack of antibiotics, from festering wounds. We are under constant bombardment from air, sea and land. Please follow the procedure to withdraw all the people, including the army, from the territory of Azovstal. Put an end to this nightmare," Isenadzhyiev wrote.

Reminder: On 31 December, 140 people returned to Ukraine in the latest round of prisoner swaps: among them were 82 soldiers of the Armed Forces, 15 from Ukraine’s Territorial Defence Forces, 22 from the National Guard of Ukraine, 11 from the Navy, and 10 from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. There are 132 men and 8 women.
