ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih refutes Russian claim regarding weapons storage on their premises
ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine's largest integrated steel company, has refuted a claim by the Russian Ministry of Defence that military weapons were being stored in one of the company’s workshops which was hit by a Russian projectile.
This is stated in a Facebook post by ArcelorMittal.
"The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation has commented on the recent Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih on its Telegram channel and in a video message by a spokesperson, and has spread a lie about the attack, [alleging that it was carried out] on a ‘missile and artillery storage point in an ArcelorMittal workshop’.
This is not true. Apart from the fact that there was an attack on the Kryvyi Rih mining and metals company on the night of 5 December, the information given by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation is completely false," the company emphasised.
The company has "flatly denied" that any military weapons, missiles or launchers are being stored on its premises.
"As a result of this brutal strike, one of our employees was killed and three more people were injured. We strongly protest against attacks on peaceful homes and the killing of Ukrainians," ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih said.
Background: On the night of 5 December, the occupiers launched a missile attack on ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih.
