Russia convenes UN Security Council over Western arms supplies to Ukraine

Russia initiated the convening of the UN Security Council on 9 December to discuss the supply of weapons to Ukraine by the West.

Background: Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) have said that Vladimir Putin is not interested in talks with Ukraine that could lead to peace.
