Sumy Oblast: Russians fire 226 munitions on areas near border

Over the past day, Russian occupiers fired 226 munitions and bombs on areas of Sumy Oblast that are close to the state border; an old man was injured in one of the hromadas [an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.].

Details: As per the information from the Head of Sumy Oblast Military Administration, seven hromadas came under Russian fire.

Russians fired on Esman hromada four times. Explosions of 20 mines, 60 munitions from multiple-launch rocket systems and 12 shells from tubed artillery were detected in villages close to the state border. A 69-year-old local resident was injured by shrapnel. He has a cheek laceration; he received medical attention right at the scene. Three residential buildings were damaged, as well. A fire broke out in one of them.

Russians launched attacks on Myropillia hromada two times from 120-mm mortars. There were 137 strikes in total. 

Invaders shelled Shalyhyne hromada with tubed artillery. There were 30 strikes detected.

Occupiers attacked Khotin hromada from 122-mm self-propelled artillery systems (4 shells) and mortars (13 bombs). As a result, a hospital and a kindergarten were damaged. A fire broke out in the hospital.

There were 12 strikes in Yunakivka hromada – Russians used mortars on their own territory; additionally, they fired 13 times from self-propelled artillery systems.

Russians attacked Bilopillia hromada from mortars. There were 15 strikes.

Russians shelled areas close to the border in Krasnopillia hromada from self-propelled artillery systems of 120-mm calibre. 20 munitions blew up.
