Ukrainian law enforcement officers have completed the investigation in the case of a collaborator in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Security Service of Ukraine [the SSU] has reported that a former school principal from Melitopol has agreed to lead the so-called Ministry of Education of Zaporizhzhia Oblast and actively collaborated with occupiers.

"Holding her ‘position’, she was in charge of changing the education system of the oblast so that it met the needs of the aggressor country," the Security Service said.

Among the crimes that the suspect committed were the following:

  • Handing over schools, colleges and a dormitory to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation; Russians used these buildings and premises to organise bases for their manpower, equipment and ammunition;
  • Handing over the property (cars and computers) of the local education department;
  • Large campaign for "accession" of the region to the Russian Federation;
  • Attempts to illegally get local teachers involved in "election commissions"; in case they refused, she would to send them to torture chambers set up by the Russians.

Investigators have initiated a criminal case and collected proof of her collaborative activity and voluntary cooperation with the invaders. At the moment, the indictment has already been sent to the court.

Despite  the fact that the lady is still on the temporarily occupied territory, the SSU has already detected her location and is trying to hold her accountable for crimes against Ukraine.
