Ukraine takes back bodies of 49 dead soldiers

On 6 December, the bodies of 49 dead Ukrainian defenders were returned to the territory of Ukraine.

Quote: "Today, [6 December – ed.] another transfer of the bodies of heroes happened – 49 dead were returned to Ukraine."

Details: Oleh Kotenko, Commissioner for Missing Persons, said that his office, together with law enforcement agencies, is doing everything possible to return as many bodies as possible.

Quote: "Actions to work out the locations where the dead fighters are likely to be is constantly ongoing."

In total, since the beginning of Kotenko's work, the bodies of 827 defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine have been returned home.
