Russians may repeat missile attacks on 6 December

The Russian occupiers may launch new missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine on 6 December, so Ukrainians should be aware of the threats from the air.

Source: Yurii Ihnat, Spokesperson for Air Force of Ukraine, on air of the 24/7 national joint newscast on Suspilne [Ukrainian public broadcaster]

Quote from Ihnat: "Today (6 December - ed.), they may repeat it (missile attacks - ed.). Firstly, it is a holiday (Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - ed.). Secondly, we see such dynamics that on 10-11 October, and 17-18 October, strikes were carried out on one day; the next day they launched somewhat fewer strikes, but still launched."

Details: Yurii Ihnat called on Ukrainians to keep in mind the missile threat and act during possible new strikes "without any panic, with a cool mind."

Ihnat recalled that during the last attack, the Ukrainian military destroyed over 60 of the more than 70 Russian missiles fired, but Ukraine needs more capabilities to effectively defend against threats from the air.

In particular, Ukrainian defenders need more German Gepards [German self-propelled anti-aircraft guns] and IRIS-T [air-defence systems], as well as Norwegian NASAMS [air-defence systems].

The spokesperson for the Air Force expressed hope that, in particular, the American side would help Ukraine in this matter.
