Ukrainian Armed Forces strike 22 clusters of Russian troops – General Staff report
On 5 December, Ukraine’s defence forces repelled Russian attacks near seven settlements and struck clusters of Russian forces from the skies and from the ground.

Details: In the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s defence forces have repelled Russian attacks near Verkhnokamianske, Bakhmut, Andriivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Kurdiumivka and Krasnohorivka (Donetsk Oblast).
Over the course of the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out 17 airstrikes and 38 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS).
On the Sivershchyna front, the Russians fired from mortars and tubed artillery at the settlements of Senkivka and Sosnivka (Chernihiv Oblast) as well as Homelivske, Manukhivka, Oleksandrivka and Slavhorod (Sumy Oblast).
On the Slobozhanshchyna front, the Russians continue to base their troops in the areas close to the national border in Belgorod Oblast [Russia]. The settlements of Volokhivka, Vilkhuvatka, Dvorichna, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Starytsia, Strilecha and Ternova (Kharkiv Oblast) came under tank, mortar and tubed artillery fire.
On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, the Russians are on the defensive. They used tanks, mortars and tubed artillery to fire on areas in and around Berestove, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Pishchane, Krokhmalne (Kharkiv Oblast), Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka (Luhansk Oblast), Makiivka, Nevske and Terny (Donetsk Oblast). Russian forces used military aircraft to carry out attacks near Kotliarivka.
On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts, the Russians are continuing to focus their efforts on conducting an offensive and improving their tactical position. Twenty settlements were attacked using tanks and all types of artillery, including Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk Oblast). Russian invaders carried out airstrikes around Spirne, Kamianka and Marinka.
On the Novopavlivka front, Russian troops are defending their positions. They shelled the areas of Bohoiavlenka, Vuhledar and Prechystivka (Donetsk oblast) using different types of artillery.
On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, the Russians are on the defensive. Russian artillery and tank attacks were recorded in the areas of more than 16 settlements near the contact line. These included Vremivka, Novopil (Donetsk Oblast), Olhivske, Dorozhnianka, Zaliznychne, Plavni (Zaporizhzhia Oblast), Zolota Balka and Novosilka (Kherson Oblast) and the city of Kherson.
Ukrainian aircraft carried out 15 strikes on clusters of Russian manpower, weapons and military equipment and 5 strikes on the positions of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems in the past 24 hours.
Units of Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck two Russian command posts, eight clusters of manpower and one other critical military facility in the past 24 hours.
