Ukraine’s Armed Forces strike Russian positions near Donetsk, occupiers advance on two fronts – General Staff report
The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a group of Russians near the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk; occupiers continue to advance on the Bakhmut and Lyman fronts.

Quote: "Up to 10 armed occupiers were wounded and killed near the city of Donetsk. Apart from that, two units of military equipment were destroyed, and another three were damaged."
Details: Russian forces continue to conduct offensive actions on the Lyman and Bakhmut fronts and try to improve their tactical position on the Kupiansk and Avdiivka fronts.
On the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, there is no significant change in the situation. There are no signs of formation of Russian offensive groups. On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, Russian army attacked the areas of the settlements of Semenivka and Zaliznyi Mist in Chernihiv Oblast; Zapsillia and Velyka Rybytsia in Sumy Oblast and Morokhovets, Ternova, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Chuhunivka and Zarubynka in Kharkiv Oblast.
On the Kupiansk front, the invaders fired near the settlements of Kamianka, Dvorichna, Vilshanka, Kupiansk, Kotliarivka and Tabaivka in Kharkiv Oblast and Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk Oblast.
On the Lyman front, Russian forces shelled Nevske and Dibrova in Luhansk Oblast and Chervonopopivka and Torske in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Bakhmut front, the areas of the settlements of Spirne, Berestove, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Kostiantynivka, Bila Hora, Kurdyumivka, Druzhba, Maiorsk and Niu York in Donetsk Oblast were damaged by Russian attacks.
On the Avdiivka front, Vesele, Avdiivka, Nevelske, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast came under fire.
On the Novopavlivka front, the Russians fired on Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Vremivka in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, the invaders attacked the areas in and around the settlements of Temyrivka, Huliaipole, Dorozhnianka, Novoandriivka, Stepove, Kamianske and Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and Nikipol and Prymiske in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
On the Kherson front, civilian infrastructure facilities in the settlement of Kachkarivka in Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson were damaged by Russian attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past 24 hours, the Russian invaders launched 16 airstrikes, 15 of which hit civilian infrastructure. In particular, occupiers used 8 Shahed-136 UAVs, and all of them were shot down. Apart from that, invaders launched 17 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems. Civilians died in the Russian occupiers’ artillery shelling of peaceful settlements.
Ukrainian Defence Forces’ aircraft struck areas of concentration of Russian occupying forces five times. Moreover, during this day, a Russian reconnaissance Orlan-10 UAV was shot down.
In addition, Rocket Forces and Artillery units struck six clusters of Russian manpower and military equipment, five ammunition storage points and a radar station.
As of 29 December 2022, the hospital in Bilovodsk, Luhansk Oblast, is overfilled with wounded Russian servicemen.
