AWACS plane that helps in targeting leaves Belarus for Russia
A long-range radar detection and control aircraft Sergei Atayants, designed to track air and surface targets, has taken off from the Machulishchy airfield, Belarus, heading for Russia.

Quote: "According to our data, an Il-76 A-50U Sergey Atayants aircraft with registration number RF-93966, which took off from the airfield in Machulishchy at 10:12, is heading from Belarus to the Russian Federation."
Details: The plane, which left the airspace of Belarus, had been in the country since 14 December.
Background: On the morning of 29 December, Russia launched a massive attack deploying cruise missiles; air defence systems were activated throughout Ukraine, however there were several hits on energy facilities.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that on 29 December, it destroyed 58 of the 70 cruise missiles, four reconnaissance UAVs and one Mi-8 helicopter.
