Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief discusses air defence needs with General Milley

Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, had a telephone conversation with General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States. Zaluzhnyi shared his assessment of the situation at the front with Milley.

Quote: "I have shared [with General Milley] the assessment of the situation on the front line and of the security risks caused by Russian missile strikes. I have conveyed our requests for weapons and equipment, and air defence and anti-missile systems. I gave assurances that, despite the harsh combat conditions, we are continuing the flight for our victory."

Details: Zaluzhnyi thanked General Milley for the significant efforts that he personally, US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin and US President Joe Biden are making to meet the needs of Ukrainian defence forces in countering Russian aggression.
