General Staff report: Ukraine’s Armed Forces repel attacks near six settlements and hit five Russian command posts

On 2 December, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks in the vicinity of 6 settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk Oblasts.

Details: Over the course of the past 24 hours, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled attacks by Russian invaders near the settlements of Chervonopopivka in Luhansk Oblast and Soledar, Opytne, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka in Donetsk Oblast.

The Russians also launched five missile strikes, 27 airstrikes and conducted 44 artillery Ukrainian troops along the contact zone.

According to the General Staff, there is still a threat of Russian missile strikes on the power facilities and other critical infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine.

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there have been no significant changes and no signs of the formation of offensive enemy units. The Republic of Belarus continues to support the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. In particular, separate units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation are being trained on its military grounds.

On the Slobozhanshchyna front Russian forces deployed various types of artillery to fire on areas in and around Strilecha, Neskuchne, Ternova, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Cherniakiv in Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, Russians are holding their defences. They deployed tanks and all types of artillery to fire on areas in and around Synkivka and Tabaivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka and Ploshchanka in Luhansk Oblast. Russians also landed airstrikes on Novoselivske and Ivanivka.

On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts, the occupiers are concentrating their main efforts on conducting offensive actions. They deployed tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, Druzhba, Opytne, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast. The enemy also carried out airstrikes in the vicinity of Verkhnokamianske, Soledar, Spirne.

On the Novopavlivka front, the enemy is holding its defence. The occupiers deployed artillery to fire on areas in and around Velyka Novosilka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, the Russian defences are holding, too. The invaders deployed tank guns and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Olhivske, Malynivka, Chervone, Ternuvate, Charivne, Huliaipilske and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

On the Kherson front, the occupiers are defending previously taken lines. 

The positions of our troops in the areas of settlements of Dudchany, Tiahynka, Ivanivka and Dniprovske in Kherson Oblast were hit by artillery fire of various types. The occupiers keep shelling the suburbs and the city of Kherson.

The enemy continues to suffer losses. More than 10 cars with wounded servicemen and the bodies of dead occupiers arrived at hospitals in the city of Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force have conducted 17 strikes on the clusters of personnel, weapons and military equipment and three strikes on the positions of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Over the past day, Ukrainian troops have shot down an enemy helicopter and six unmanned aerial vehicles of the Orlan-10 type.

In addition, Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery hit five command posts, two ammunition dumps, 11 clusters of personnel and military equipment and four other important objects of the Russian occupiers.
