Details: Commenting on the recent article of The New York Times about the successes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the city of Kreminna, Cherevatyi emphasised that the General Staff will inform officially if there are significant results in this area.
Quote: "I can say that The New York Times is a very reputable publication and they probably have good sources. However, our units, including air assault units, have been working hard in this area for some time, and I think that when a significant result is achieved, I will definitely inform our public. As of now, we must be patient and wait for official reports."
Details: He added that the liberation of Kreminna will allow Ukrainian forces to "move further" in Luhansk Oblast, and holds moral and psychological significance, because Russians will perceive it as an invasion of their territory.
Answering the question whether the Russian military leadership really moved from Kreminna to the city of Rubizhne, Cherevatyi said: "This is a traditional practice for them [Russian occupation forces – ed.] as after a series of defeats they suffered in Ukraine, they have lost their bravado. When they understand that there may be an unfavourable outcome for them, they move their command and logistics points."
