Children participating in Moscow karate festival to be awarded medals made of "NATO shell fragments"
Organisers of a children's karate festival in Russia have decided to award the participants medals allegedly made in the Russian-occupied Ukrainian city of Donetsk using "fragments of NATO ammunition".
Source: Latvia-based Russian media outlet Meduza, quoting Russian Telegram channel Ostorozhno, Moskva (Moscow, Beware)
Details: Meduza has reported that children participating in the All-Russian Kyokushinkai Festival held in Moscow would receive medals with the symbols V and Z [the symbols that Kremlin’s propaganda uses in the war against Ukraine – ed.].
The caption on the awards states that they are "made by Donetsk blacksmiths using fragments of NATO ammunition", which are alleged to be fired at "Russian cities".
Meduza reported that the winners would receive the regular medals, and the medals with V and Z symbols would be awarded to all participants of the tournament.
