Details: "I would like to emphasise that with each enemy attack, the complexity and duration of repair work increases.
Ukrenergo [Ukrainian national energy company] applies emergency power outages as a result of large-scale damage to the energy infrastructure," said Kuleba.
As he states, 80% of the oblast is without electricity. The most difficult situation is in Bucha, Vyshhorod, Obukhiv and partially Fastiv Raions; more than 30 hromadas are de-energized [hromada is an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories].
"Critical infrastructure facilities, such as hospitals, and heating and water supply facilities are prioritised for the electricity supply.
In cooperation with Ukrenergo and DTEK [private energy company], we are making every effort to restore electricity supply as soon as possible and to meet the scheduled power outages. We will promptly inform you about the progress of restoration works," Kuleba added.
He asked to be understanding about the situation.
Earlier, Anatolii Fedoruk, Mayor of Bucha, reported that Bucha hromada was cut off from power due to serious damage to the energy system.
"Special schedules of emergency power outages were introduced for the 330-kilowatt Pivnichna (North) substation.
As a result, the cities of Bucha, Hostomel, Irpin, the settlements of Horenka, Moshchun, Nemishaieve and Borodianka were left completely without electricity.
I ask the heads of homeowner associations, management companies, businessmen and all residents of the hromada to self-organise to help neighbours and each other, as the situation may worsen," said the Mayor of Bucha.
According to him, critical infrastructure and social facilities will be powered from alternative sources, and in case of technical possibility, they will temporarily have a stable power supply from DTEK networks.
