Shoigu visits occupied territory in Ukraine

Sergei Shoigu, Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, has inspected one of the occupiers’ military groups in the area of the so-called "special operation", as the war in Ukraine is called in Russia.

Quote: "Shoigu has visited the Southern Military District and inspected a group of troops in the area of the special operation.

During reports by the commanders, Shoigu paid special attention to the provision of troops, the accommodation conditions for personnel in the field, and the work of medical and logistics units."

Details: RIA Novosti posted a video that shows Shoigu boarding a helicopter and from there, together with the military, inspecting the defence structures of the occupiers.

Background: It is planned that Defence Minister of Belarus Viktor Khrenin and his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu will take part in talks between self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, scheduled for 19 December.

Putin met with military commanders on 16 December and discussed Russia's war against Ukraine.
