Metro traffic in Kyiv restored

Vitalii Klitschko, the Mayor of Kyiv, has reported that the Kyiv Metro is resuming operation.

Background: The Russians launched a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure on 16 December. The occupiers used 70 cruise and 3 guided air-launched missiles, with Ukrainian air defence forces shooting down 60 cruise missiles. 

Several energy infrastructure facilities and residential buildings in Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts were hit in these attacks.
