Ukrenergo terminates state of emergency in Ukraine’s energy system
Ukrenergo [national electricity company - ed.] has announced the termination of the state of emergency in the Integrated Power System(IPS) of Ukraine.
This was reported in NEC Ukrenergo.
"In compliance with the requirements of clause 9.1.3 of the Market Rules, we inform you about the termination of the state of emergency in the Ukrainian IPS, which begun on 16.12.2022 as a result of large-scale missile attacks by the Russian Federation on the electric power infrastructure of Ukraine (thermal power plants, hydroelectric plants, substations of main networks 330-750 kV) ", the message says.
In connection with the end of the state of emergency, the last settlement period for which calculations are made taking into account Chapter 9.2 of the Market Rules is 22:00-23:00 on December 16, 2022.
Background:
- On Friday, as a result of large-scale missile attacks by the Russian Federation on the electricity infrastructure of Ukraine, there was a loss of more than 50% of the consumption of the Integrated Power System.
