Only crucially required employees are present at DTEK Energy facilities, the rest work remotely.

"In September-December, DTEK’s energy facilities suffered 20 Russian terrorist attacks. Twenty four power engineers have been injured and three have been killed as a result of those. There have also been victims among rescuers and employees of subcontractors," the company summed up.

Background:

  • The Russian missile attack on the morning of 16 December dealt damage to about nine generation facilities and curtailed the production of nuclear power plants.
  • During the large-scale Russian-launched missile attack on the power infrastructure of Ukraine on 16 December, hits were recorded; the country's north, south and centre suffered most of the damage. The state of emergency was introduced for electricity market participants.
