Quote: "Today, our enemy attacked the city of Kharkiv again. There is enormous infrastructure damage done primarily to the power system. Our municipal services, along with energy workers, have already begun to cope with the consequences of what the enemy has done."
Details: Kharkiv Mayor called on the residents to be patient. Due to the lack of electricity, heating, and water in the houses, he asked the people to use "invincibility centres" [heating points with Internet access, water and food].
"You will be provided with food and hot drinks there, and you will also be able to recharge your phones," he said.
Terekhov assured the people the authorities would restore the destroyed during the attack as soon as possible. "I ask you to stay calm and patient," he said.
Background: In the small hours of December 16, Russia launched a massive attack, firing over 60 missiles, to distract the attention of Ukraine's air defences.
