Details: Poletykin announced that the shelters will be equipped with seats and sockets for charging gadgets. There should also be drinking water and electricity supply.
According to him, it is expected that people will be able to stay in the shelters for a maximum of an hour.
Quote: "We do not want to hang direction signs [to the shelters – ed.], taking into account the experience of [Russian] border objects, and we will not yet, so as not to disturb our population," he said.
Background:
- On 6 December, Viacheslav Gladkov, Governor of Belgorod Oblast [Russia], announced the beginning of the formation of territorial defence battalions, which, if necessary, will be ready to "protect" the oblast.
- Gladkov also posted pictures of the defensive ‘zasechnaya’ line [Great Abatis Line – ed.], which the Russians built on the border with Ukraine.
