Members of Ukrainian Plast National Scout Organisation give Zelenskyy the Bethlehem fire

Ukrainian plastuny [the members of the Plast National Scout Organisation of Ukraine, the largest Scouting organisation in Ukraine -ed.] brought the Peace Light of Bethlehem to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The National Scout Organisation noted that the light is also a symbolic reminder of all Plast members who are now at the contact line or volunteering for the victory of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The traditional annual meeting with Ukrainian Scouts was reported on the official page of the president of Ukraine on social networks.

"This year it is a symbol of light and peace from Bethlehem. This is not just the embodiment of goodness, hope, and love but also a time of unity, a symbol that we are invincible. We're together. We are united", said one of the members of Plast.

A member of Plast gave the light to the president with the words "Ukraine will definitely win!".

The president added that this year's light is very practical because it supports and indicates the absence of fear.

"The Peace Light of Bethlehem is special this year. This is a symbol that we are not afraid of anyone and will stand until victory, each in his place. 

After me, the light will be at the contact line; it will give energy to our soldiers who are defending Ukraine. It is needed there the most", Zelenskyy said.

Reminder: 

The Peace Light of Bethlehem is a symbol of peace  because it was lit at the birthplace of Jesus Christ.

Recently, the Plast organisation promised that in the near future, they will transfer the Peace Light of Bethlehem to the liberated territories of Ukraine and the line of contact.
