Folder with secret documents found in Izium, with plan of how to Russify Kharkiv Oblast
In the so-called "Department of Education", which was formed in the city of Izium during the Russian occupation, law enforcement officers seized a folder with secret documents about how the "development" of Russian education in the Kharkiv Oblast should take place.
Source: Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine
Details: Among the documents are "materials for the meeting on the support and development of education systems in Kharkiv Oblast". One of the handlers of this process was the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
The invaders intended to issue Russian certificates of graduation from the 11th grades in Belgorod Oblast to Ukrainian school students.
Part of the plan was to invite teachers from the Russian Federation to the Ukrainian region; the special emphasis should be placed on "historians and writers" to introduce "patriotic education" there.
One of the documents states that children should focus solely on enrolling into higher education institutions in the Belgorod Oblast.
In addition, the invaders planned to send one or two children "who were particularly distinguished" to a camp in the temporarily occupied Crimea, and students of 7th-9th grades would be sent to Belgorod. Russian propaganda for children was planned under the guise of "care and recreation".
It is noted that the seized documents will be used by prosecutors to bring collaborators to justice and investigate crimes related to the introduction of Russian education.
