Details: According to the SSU, first of all, the occupiers were "hunting" for the exact coordinates of the SSU facilities on which they were planning to launch a targeted attack.
A 36-year-old resident of Mykolaiv tried to transfer the information collected to the aggressor via an anonymous Telegram channel created by the security services of the Russian Federation for conducting reconnaissance and subversive activity in the oblast.
The SSU noted that its employees had worked proactively and detained the Russian accomplice while he was trying to transfer the information.
The investigation found that the man has actively been spreading his pro-Kremlin views via social media, including calls to support the invaders. He has also justified their war crimes aimed at killing civilians and destroying the critical infrastructure of Ukrainian cities.
This is how the occupiers noticed him and got him involved in collecting reconnaissance data in favour of the Russian grouping located in the occupied territories in the south of Ukraine.
During the search of this man’s house, law enforcement officers discovered a mobile phone and computer hardware with evidence of his subversive activity.
The man was notified that he is under suspicion of disseminating information about the deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other lawfully created military units in order to provide such information to the state conducting military aggression against Ukraine, as well as justifying and recognising legitimate the military aggression of Russia against Ukraine.
The SSU reported that the court has already arrested the suspect, who has no right to bail.
