Ukrainian Armed Forces strike 17 clusters of Russian military personnel and 5 command posts

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled several Russian attacks over the course of the past 24 hours, with Ukrainian aircraft striking 17 clusters of Russian military personnel and ground forces, while ground troops hit 5 Russian command posts and several other crucial targets.

Details: The Ukrainian Armed Forces have repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Krasnohorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanhrad, Opytne, Klishchiivka, Marinka, Pavlivka, Vodiane and Maiorsk in Donetsk Oblast and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast.

Over the course of the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 9 missile strikes and 37 airstrikes, as well as over 100 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS).

Over 25 Ukrainian cities, towns and villages in Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts came under Russian fire.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. There is an ongoing threat that Russia might launch attack drones from the territory of the Republic of Belarus to conduct airstrikes on Ukraine.

On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets:

  • On the Slobozhanshchyna front: Russian forces deployed tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Udy, Starytsia, Chuhunivka, Fyholivka and Dvorichanske;
  • On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts: Russian forces deployed various types of artillery to fire on areas in and around Kyslivka, Berestove, Stelmakhivka, Miasozharivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Yampolivka and Lyman;
  • On the Bakhmut front: the Russians deployed tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery to fire on areas in and around Rozdolivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Kurdiumivka, Ozarianivka and Maiorsk;
  • On the Avdiivka front: the Russians deployed all types of artillery at their disposal to fire on areas in the vicinity of Avdiivka, Opytne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka;
  • On the Novopavlivka front: the Russians fired on areas in and around Vuhledar, Pavlivka, Prechystivka, Vremivka, Novosilka, Neskuchne and Novopil using tank guns, mortars and tubed and rocket artillery;
  • On the Zaporizhzhia front: Russian forces deployed artillery of various calibres to fire on areas in the vicinity of Temyrivka, Olhivske, Uspenivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Novodanylivka and Stepove;
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front: several cities, towns and villages in the vicinity of the line of contact came under Russian fire. The Russians deployed MLRS to fire rockets on Vyshchetarasivka, Illinka and Marhanets in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Russian forces are continuing to suffer losses. The General Staff has confirmed that a cluster of Russian military equipment (around 20 pieces) was struck on 5 November in Hola Prystan (Kherson Oblast). Several Russian ammunition storage points were destroyed in Horlivka (Donetsk Oblast) and Svatove (Luhansk Oblast) on 5–6 November.

Russian occupation forces in Enerhodar (Zaporizhzhia Oblast) are continuing to ramp up counterintelligence measures. They are gathering local residents’ personal data, searching their smartphones, inspecting private property and illegally detaining Ukrainian citizens.

A unit from the Chechen Republic has arrived at Novosofiivka (Kherson Oblast) to reinforce Russian forces in the area. The newly arrived unit has already joined in the looting of local residents’ properties.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian aircraft carried out 24 airstrikes on Russian forces, striking 17 clusters of military personnel, weapons and equipment and 7 anti-aircraft defence systems. 

Ukrainian air defence forces shot down a Russian Su-25 aircraft, a Lancet-3 UAV and 4 Orlan-10 UAVs.

Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck 5 Russian command posts, 2 clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment, 2 ammunition storage points, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems and an area where the Russians have deployed several artillery systems.
