Russian forces fire over 200 shells and mortar bombs on Sumy Oblast: 1 civilian killed, 1 injured

Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, Head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, has reported that Russian forces have fired 203 shells and mortar bombs on the border-adjacent areas in Sumy Oblast over the course of the past 24 hours, causing damage to several local settlements. One civilian was killed and one injured as a result of these Russian attacks.

Details: In Krasnopillia hromada, Russian forces dropped three VOG grenades on the outskirts of one of the villages from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV); with no resulting casualties.

Russian forces fired 12 mortar bombs on Shalyhyne hromada; there were no casualties.

In Khotin hromada, the Russians deployed a self-propelled artillery system to fire 32 shells on the outskirts of one of the villages.

They also fired 40 rockets using a multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS) around 14:00. Soon after, they launched another 30 grenades. The effects of these attacks have yet to be confirmed.

The Russians also deployed an MLRS to fire on Seredyna-Buda hromada; seven rockets were fired that damaged a residential building, garage and a civilian vehicle. Several power lines were additionally damaged.

Russian forces attacked the Vorozhba hromada twice; 42 shells were fired around midday damaging three apartments, afterwards  MLRSs were deployed to fire a further 30 rockets on[at?] civilians. One woman was killed and another sustained injuries.

Seven residential buildings, six outbuildings, two summer kitchens, a bath house, a cafe, a cemetery, two civilian automobiles, as well as several power lines and gas pipelines were damaged from these attacks.

Russian forces deployed small arms to fire on Esman hromada; however there were no casualties.

The Russians additionally fired 10 mortar-launched bombs on Bilopillia hromada, damaging power lines in one village and a private house in another.
