Details: Latest reports say that Russian military enlistment offices have received instructions regarding the formation of additional so-called conscription units. Men with extinguished criminal records can be conscripted without any age limit and in any health condition, except for those who have the official status of a person with disabilities.
In order to avoid legal and financial obligations, these conscripts are not expected to sign any contracts with the Ministry of Defence of Russia.
Moreover, according to information from the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, the Russians are trying to hold the temporarily occupied territories, focusing their efforts on halting the advance of Ukrainian forces on certain fronts. They are also conducting offensive operations on the Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Novopavlivka fronts.
Over the current day [3 November], the Russians carried out 3 missile and 16 air strikes and fired more than 40 times from multiple-launch rocket systems.
In return, Ukrainian aircraft carried out 12 strikes on the Russians over the day. Eight clusters of weapons and military equipment, as well as four locations of air defence systems, came under fire.
A threat of new attacks on Ukraine and of a launch of attack drones, particularly from Belarus, remains.
Previously: Earlier, the General Staff had reported that Russia was continuing the conscription campaign covertly, in spite of its official statements that the campaign was over.
