Zelenskyy discusses preparations for G20 summit with Indonesian President

President Volodymyr Zelensky has held a telephone conversation with Indonesian President Joko Widodo and discussed preparations for the Group of 20 (G20) summit in Bali.

Ukraine is ready to continue to be the guarantor of global food security. Attention was also paid to preparations for the G20 Summit."

Background: 

• Indonesia will host the Group of 20 (G20) summit in Bali in November 2022.
• After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Joko Widodo did not cancel Russian President Vladimir Putin's invitation to the summit but invited President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the G20 meeting. Putin is considering whether to participate in the summit. 
• Due to the possible presence of the Russian President, the composition of the participants of the meeting is under question.
