As the Ministry of Economy explained, the government has made amendments to the list of products that are supplied to the territory of Ukraine free of duty and VAT.

Thus, components for producing energy equipment, means to purify water and satellite communication tools (Starlink) have been added to the tax exemption list.

"First, the government has exempted the import of generators and energy equipment from import duty and VAT. This decision makes these products approximately 25% cheaper. We are making another step today.

In order that Ukrainian manufacturers who produce these goods in Ukraine do not find themselves in a less advantageous position, the government has additionally exempted components and fragments for manufacturing generators and energy equipment from import duty and VAT. This means that products which are made in the domestic market will be approximately a quarter cheaper," explained Denys Kudin, First Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

Earlier, the government expanded the list of import products that will be imported to Ukraine without having to pay either import duty or VAT; it refers to equipment that can help the country survive the energy crisis: generators, batteries, etc.
