Details: The SSU stated that the perpetrators were gathering intelligence about the positions and movements of  Ukraine’s Armed Forces in the oblast.

The perpetrators also reported the locations of public facilities, including educational institutions in the city of Sloviansk to the aggressor.

Russian occupiers were planning to use this information to launch precision missile strikes on the Ukrainian city.

According to the investigation, the accomplices of the Russians turned out to be two local residents who were working for the so-called "People’s Militia of the DPR" [unrecognised Donetsk People’s Republic -ed.]  subordinate to the special services of the Russian Federation.

Communication was maintained through anonymous messenger apps, and a specially created chatbot was used to transmit secret data.

This is how the perpetrators shared the information about the movement of Ukrainian military equipment, as well as the geolocation of Ukrainian schools. They supplemented their "reports" with photographs and a detailed description of the surrounding area.

The SSU noted that one of the informants used a female name to maintain anonymity.

During the searches of the residences of both perpetrators, law enforcement officers found mobile phones and laptops with evidence of subversive activities.

The perpetrators have been informed of the allegations, and the court has arrested them.

The Prosecutor's Office of Donetsk Oblast stated that one of the assets is a physics teacher.

From March to October 2022, he was sharing information about the whereabouts of Ukrainian servicemen in Sloviansk through the chatbot of the unrecognised "DPR" using his own messenger account.
