Zelenskyy proposes establishing international institution with headquarters in Kyiv or Odesa
At the inaugural International Summit on Food Security, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed that a new international institution be established, with headquarters in Ukraine, to prevent global threats and respond rapidly when they emerge.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "Today, I want to suggest that a new international institution be established as a continuation of this initiative. An institution that will be a new, efficient and effective tool to prevent global threats and rapidly respond to them. All threats: food, humanitarian, and security threats. With headquarters in Kyiv or Odesa, where a ship will shortly depart under the Grain from Ukraine programme."
Details: On 26 November, Holodomor Memorial Day in Ukraine, the inaugural International Summit on Food Security was held in Kyiv and attended by foreign leaders as part of the humanitarian programme Grain from Ukraine.
The summit was attended, in person or online, by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the prime ministers of Poland, Lithuania, Romania and Belgium (Mateusz Morawiecki, Ingrida Šimonytė, Nicolae Ciucă and Alexander De Croo), Hungarian President Katalin Novák, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, the presidents of Finland, Latvia, Estonia, Slovenia and Bulgaria, the Secretary-General of NATO, and senior officials from the UK, Czech Republic, Italy, Austria, Spain, Qatar, Canada, the United States Agency for International Development, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the UN World Food Programme in Ukraine, and the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation.
