Quote: "The ‘[world’s] second-best transformer-fighting army’ is now the official nickname for the Russian army, which has been ‘heroically’ fighting with Ukrainian hydroelectric and thermal power plants for days. These bastards have tried to leave us without fuel and the world without grain. We will win on the electricity front as well. Ukraine will prevail!"
Background: Russia has launched seven waves of massive attacks on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure facilities, targeting thermal and hydroelectric power plants, electricity substations and gas production plants with missiles and drones. Three Ukrainian nuclear power plants temporarily suspended electricity generation after the latest attack on 23 November.
Satellites have recorded that almost all of Ukraine was without power on 23 November.
Ukraine has suffered a huge electricity shortage since then and has been forced to resort to lengthy blackouts.
