Quote: "Last night we witnessed a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia Oblast. This time, they struck a hospital - the maternity ward - and a new-born was killed. The child was only two days old when he was killed by a Russian missile."
Zelenskyy also said that Ukraine is proposing a resolution that will condemn any form of energy terror.
The Ukrainian president believes that attacks on the Ukrainian energy industry is an "obvious crime against humanity."
Zelenskyy said that the Russian Federation should not participate in voting related to its aggression against Ukraine.
Zelenskyy also called for a change in the practice under which the Russian Federation - a terrorist state - has the right to veto any decisions of the UN Security Council.
Background: On 23 November, Russia, the terrorist state, once again carried out a massive missile attack on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine using strategic aircraft and vessels of the Black Sea Fleet. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched about 70 Kh-101, Kh-555 and Kalibr cruise missiles. Ukraine’s anti-aircraft defence systems shot down 51 of the 70 missiles and 5 kamikaze drones.
The attack led to a temporary blackout at all nuclear power plants and the majority of the thermal and hydroelectric plants. Power transmission facilities are also affected. A large part of Ukraine was left without electricity and water.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has reported that 10 Ukrainians were killed by Russian missile strikes on 23 November.
