Emergency power outages across Ukraine will continue throughout the day
Due to the Russian attack, the control centre of Ukrenergo, the national energy company, has implemented emergency power outages throughout Ukraine.
This was reported by Ukrenergo’s press service on Facebook.
"This is a necessary step to protect power grids from further technological accidents and maintain the operation of the energy system," Ukrenergo explained.
Repair crews, together with units of the State Emergency Service, will begin repairing the damage as soon as the air-raid alert is lifted.
"However, due to the frost and freezing rain in some regions, emergency repair work on facilities damaged by the terrorists' missiles may take longer," the regulator warned.
