Russian occupiers fired on the maternity ward of Vilniansk Hospital, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, at 02:00 on 23 November. A two-day-old baby was killed as a result of the strike; the baby’s mother and two doctors were rescued from under the rubble.

Viktor Liashko, the Minister of Health of Ukraine, has responded to the tragedy in Vilniansk on Facebook.

"No one can bring back that tiny life that could have become a big and happy one. This is NOT a terrorist state, it is a killer state.

This is not the responsibility of the bastard who launched this missile, it is the responsibility of every Russian who supports or does not oppose the regime of a crazy maniac," Liashko wrote.

The minister also expressed his condolences to the victims’ families.

Addressing Russians directly, he added, "We will never forgive you. The world will never forgive you.

One day you will wake up from the propaganda with which you have been brainwashed, but it will be too late. No one will bring back the lives of the children you killed."

Liashko hit out at Mikhail Murashko, the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation:

"Mikhail Murashko, you’re an idiot, not a health minister!"

Liashko also addressed Hans Kluge, the Regional Director for Europe at the World Health Organisation.

"There can be no compromise with evil!" he wrote.
