Danilov: winter will be difficult, but this does not mean that Ukraine should give up

Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine (NSDC), has stated that Ukraine will face a difficult winter ahead. Russia still has enough weapons for another three to four massive missile attacks on a similar scale to the 15 November attack. On that day, Russian forces launched 100 missiles at Ukraine.

Quote from Danilov: "This means that [Ukrainians] will need to conserve electricity.

The Russians have resorted to such a shameful tactic; they are destroying the infrastructure on which the lives of elderly people, children and women depend...

This suggests that we will face a difficult winter, but it does not mean that we should give up or capitulate.

The Russians will be waiting in vain for such an outcome."

Details: Danilov stated that Russia has 10% of certain makes of missiles remaining, and 18% of certain other makes. However, "unfortunately, there is a missile of which there is an awful lot left in Russia - these are S-300 missiles."

Quote from Danilov: "It just so happens that there are too many of them [S-300 missiles] ... If everything was going fine, they would certainly not turn to another country to help them with missiles...

The attack of 15 November was one of the most powerful...

If we are talking about the scale of bombardment that took place on the 15th [November], then they still have the capacity to carry out such a bombardment three to four times at most.

Background: On 15 November, Russian missiles hit the city of Kyiv, as well as Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, Volyn, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava and Kharkiv oblasts.

Ukrainian air defence shot down 70 out of 90 Russian missiles; however, the Russians succeeded in striking 15 Ukrainian energy facilities.
