Ukraine’s power grid operator lost nearly US$2 billion due to Russian attacks
Ukrenergo [electricity transmission system operator in Ukraine] has lost approximately 70 billion hryvnias (US$ 1.9 billion) as a result of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

Details: According to preliminary data, Ukrenergo’s losses have reached over 70 billion hryvnias (approximately US$ 1.9 billion) as a result of Russian military aggression. Shmyhal also said that 70 repair crews, meaning over 1,000 energy technicians, are currently working to restore Ukraine’s power grid damaged by Russian missiles and drones.
The prime minister added that since 11 October, Ukraine has ceased to export power to the EU countries as a result of the large-scale Russian missile attack on Ukraine’s energy system.
