Explosions sound in Crimea: occupying administration reports drone attack

Explosions occurred in the cities of Sevastopol and Evpatoria in Crimea. The occupying administration reported about a drone attack and activation of the air defence system.

Details: As reported by Suspilne.Crimea, the residents of the occupied cities of Sevastopol and Evpatoria have heard the explosions.

The media outlet states that in Evpatoria, a muffled sound of explosions and loud explosions in the Western part of the city were heard.

The residents of Sevastopol told Suspilne about what was likely the work of air defence systems. They have heard the explosions in the northern part of the city.

Local Telegram-channels are publishing videos with sounds of explosions and bright flashes.

Mikhail Razvozhayev, the head of the occupying administration of Sevastopol, also reported about the work of the air defence. He stated that the city was attacked by drones, two of which were allegedly shot down.

The RIA Novosti media outlet, with reference to the occupying administration, reported that the naval transport movement was suspended in Sevastopol due to the attack.

Updated: RIA Novosti informed about the resumption of the naval transport movement in Sevastopol, boats and ferries are departing in accordance with the schedule.

Updated at 20:35: Russian proxy in Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said that air defence forces shot down two drones on approach to the Balaklava Thermoelectric Power Plant. He also claimed that the Russian Navy has shot down another three drones over the waters of the Black Sea.

"Emergency services have not detected any fires or damage to civilian infrastructure; there are no casualties," Razvozhayev wrote on Telegram.
