Zelenskyy on new unscheduled blackouts: Everyone must find an economical approach
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, called upon businesses and Ukrainian citizens to continue conserving electricity because on 21 November, power engineers had to conduct unscheduled blackouts in several regions of Ukraine.

Quote: "Today, our energy workers had to apply not only stabilising shutdowns, but also unscheduled ones. This is caused by a higher level of consumption than the country can provide at this time.
As of this evening, the situation is particularly difficult in Kyiv and the region, as well as in the Vinnytsia, Sumy, Ternopil, Cherkasy, Odesa regions and some other cities and districts.
Please try to limit your personal use of electricity in areas where there is the most difficulty on a daily basis, and especially during peak consumption hours. Of course, there should be a very frugal approach in public places as well."
Details: Zelenskyy called upon administrations of oblasts and local hromadas [hromada - an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories] to continue communications concerning the rational energy consumption.
The President stated that power engineers, utility employees, rescuers and others "are performing to the best of their ability, but the damage to our energy sphere caused by the attacks of the Russian terrorists is so significant that all our people and businesses should be very frugal and split energy consumption into different hours of the day."
